The New Quad-Core x64 Sun Workstation, the Sun Ultra 24

Sun announced the Sun Ultra 24 Workstation, a single socket (dual or quad core) Intel workstation - the first Intel based Sun workstation since the Sun 386i (1988). Dual core configurations start at $995, quad core at about $2,400. Sun is targeting the high-end, technical professional with this family of workstations. High-end configurations have been priced very competitively against similar configurations from Dell and HP.
